So Long, Farewell, Auf wiedersehen, Good Night

Tonight is our last night at Disney World and I'm sad to leave. I could use one more day here. It still hasn't entirely sunk in that not only did I finish my first marathon, I completed the Goofy Challenge.

What a crazy experience. So many thoughts and emotions race through your mind while running such a long distance. Some good, some bad, some downright demoralizing. I'll put together race recaps soon, but today was spent at Epcot and Magic Kingdom just having fun.

Strangely, my body isn't wrecked like I thought it would be. All of that training really helped my ability to recover quickly. I'm sore, yes, but the most debilitating injuries were blisters on the balls of both of my feet. I could barely walk today, but not because the rest of my body was a mess. I've been more sore after half marathons than I was after Goofy.
