If you're at all involved in the running world, then you've already heard about the drama and controversy surrounding the cancellation of the NYC Marathon.
I have plenty of thoughts and opinions about this, but I'll go into that when I have more than my iPhone to blog from.
This morning, our team met at Central Park for a run- which Tara and I turned into a stroll to the finish line and then a trip to Starbucks.
Anyway, New York City, I love you! I'm sad to be leaving on Monday as a non marathoner, but I wish NY and NJ a speedy recovery.
This has been an adventure to remember, even though it's turning out completely different than I expected.
Such a bummer that it was cancelled! Though I am glad that you've been having a good time in NY :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been really disappointing, but I've learned a lot and experienced a lot. I will write more thoughts when I get home!
DeleteSucks that it was cancelled ... but mega cool that you did get to run in Central Park!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a bummer. I have to say, I had a really fun time in NYC, though. NYCM is still on my bucket list. Hopefully, I'll get to run in next year. *fingers crissed*
